King's named Northern Neck's best cleaning service for fourth year

Sometimes small towns hold big surprises and that is certainly true of Village, Virginia.

Village, a small "town" that joins Richmond and Northumberland Counties on Hwy 360, is the home of the Northern Neck's largest and oldest cleaning service.  Twenty-eight years ago Ed and Loretta King started their part-time cleaning service using a spare bedroom for an office.  In a few years, it grew to full time.  In 1990 the Ford dealership building in Village went on the market and the Kings bought and renovated it to be their headquarters and rug cleaning plant.

When many people think about King's Cleaning Services, they think about a company that drives out to their homes and cleans their furnishings with one of their truck-mounted units, and that is true. Also, King's has always provided free inspections, consultations, and quotations on all of your cleaning needs.   They also have the area's largest rug cleaning plant.  There they can give the special care necessary for all types of oriental and area rugs.  People bring rugs to them by the truckload; many from quite a long distance.  Because they know that orientals require special care.  Each rug is cleaned one at a time, no big city mass production process used there.  King's also picks up and delivers for those who need that service.

King's Cleaning Service is certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC), an internationally recognized education and testing authority.  Ed King is a certified Master Restorer and Master Cleaner, the highest level of technical proficiency available.  In addition, his technicians are sent to be trained and tested by some of the industry's best instructors.

King's was a pioneer in air duct cleaning in our area.  They now have two complete systems for residential and commercial duct cleaning.  It is always amazing to see what people are breathing when you clean out their heating and ventilating systems.

Among their many lines of cleaning services, King's does smoke and water damage restoration, with a 24-hour emergency service.  They have state-of-the-art deflooding and drying equipment and are known to respond usually within about an hour's time.

One thing that the folks at King's Cleaning Services are particularly proud of, for the 4th year in a row they have been voted "The Best Cleaning Service" in the Northern Neck/Middle Peninsula region.

Sometimes small towns do hold big surprises.  And like small town folks, they want you to stop by and say "hello."
