Westmoreland still not back to normal after flood

When we talk about flooding here in the Northern Neck, we usually talk about tidal flooding. But when Tropical Storm Lee slammed the area last week, Westmoreland County got the kinds of flooding normally reserved for our more inland neighbors.

Even now, the area is not quite back to normal. Schools opened for the year today, a week behind schedule. Some neighborhoods remain cut off by high water, according to this report in the Free-Lance Star.
