What is a pre-retirement tour? In reality, its a chance to check out an area you might not know much about, meeting the people, and see a little of what it has to offer.

The Northern Neck Tourism Council will be happy to welcome you Saturday, May 17, 2008. We've collected information about the area - maps, brochures, etc. - and will have a suggested itinerary for the weekend. We'll be set up all day in the Welcome Center at the Kilmarnock Crab Festival. Just go to Kilmarnock and look for the Welcome center. We'll be in the thick of the action!

The Northern Neck is a four county region in eastern Virginia, bordered by the Potomac, the Rappahannock, and Chesapeake Bay. As a result of our geography, the water plays a big part in life here. But we have so much more! Vineyards you can visit and 19 museums, that each tell the region's unique story.

While we are in a rural, sparsely populated pastoral setting, we're an hour from Richmond and two hours of DC.
