It's good as new at Wicomico Auto Body

Wicomico Auto Body was founded in 1990 after Joe McGrath decided that the northern neck of Virginia would be his permanent home. Previously Joe was the founder and owner of Joe's Auto Body & Custom Painting Inc. which he incorporated in 1974. Joe spent the next 14 years dedicated to providing top quality service for his customers in Kensington Md.

After many weekends enjoying all of the advantages of country living and building a vacation home in the Northern Neck, Joe realized that his heart was in Virginia and decided to make the difficult decision to sell his home and business in Maryland, and build a new life in the Northern Neck. Joe had previously purchased a three-acre parcel of commercial land on Rt. 200 in Wicomico Church and quickly set his sights on building what is today Wicomico Auto Body.

The ground breaking and construction of the new body shop went as planned and soon after opening the doors of Wicomico Auto Body it was clear that the decision to move to the Northern Neck was a good one. As it turned out, there was plenty of demand from area customers who were in need of a top quality collision repair facility. Soon Joe and his wife Jessie were making plans for expanding their new shop to meet the needs of the growing number of customers.

After the completion of construction and near doubling the work area of Wicomico Auto Body, Joe and Jessie upgraded every facet of the business, with the latest technology and equipment, from the heated down draft paint booth to the computerized estimating service in the office, in order to provide their customers with highest quality auto body repairs available.
Wicomico Auto Body's technology includes a Dupont paint mixing system, along with a Chromavision paint match system.

“With this camera we take a picture of the car and it tells us exactly what color and shade the paint is,” Joe said.

The average system only narrows it down to four or five paint chips.
“The Chromavision system takes all the guesswork out of it,” Jessie added.
Their commitment to technology is really a commitment to excellence, which insures each and every one of their customers that their damaged vehicle will be restored to it's pre-accident condition in a timely manner without sacrificing the professional quality, care and attention it takes to deliver the perfection every customer deserves.

Their neat, sparkling facility is growing. Last year Wicomico Auto Body opened a new wing to its work area, adding over 3,300 square feet of space. Their outdoor lots are well lit and ringed by a chain link fence for added security.

Wicomico Auto Body has what it takes to do the job right the first time and Joe, Jessie and the dedicated staff realize that there is no second chance to make a first impression. They hope you never need their services, but if you do, they look forward to providing you with the highest quality collision repairs available in the industry, along with competitive prices.
